A: Typically, results for Single Primer Extensions range from 500 to 700
bases of high-quality data.

2. What is Sequegen's re-sequencing policy?
A: Sequegen typically re-sequences templates when the data can be
improved or if the data was affected by a technical error.

3. Can Sequegen sequence difficult templates, e.g. G/C rich samples?
A:Yes. Sequegen has several optimized protocols for sequencing difficult
templates including denaturing protocols for high G/C templates.
Sequegen also encourages their clients to share any information that
might be useful in optimizing sequencing requests.

4. Does Sequegen keep my samples? If yes, for how long?
A: Yes. The templates and primers are stored in Sequegen's freezer
archives for up to 1 month from the time of submission.

5. Can I get samples and/or primers back?
A: Yes. Simply include such instructions in the Sample Information
Sheet, which is to be included when submitting your sequencing requests
to Sequegen.

6. Can I put the template and primer in the same tube?
A: Yes. However, for Sequegen to optimize the sequencing reaction, the
primer and template need to be in separate tubes. If you submit template
and primer in the same tube, please indicate this on your Sample
Information Sheet.

7. Can I send my samples in 96-well plates?
A: Yes, but Sequegen will transfer your samples into 0.5 ml tubes. To
expedite processing your request, please send your samples in 1.5 ml tubes.

8. Can I provide a purchase order (PO) number after I have sent out my samples?
A: No. We request that you include a PO number or credit card
information on your Sample Information Sheet when submitting your
sequencing requests to Sequegen.

9. Does Sequegen synthesize primers?
A: We contract with another company for our Oligonucleotide Synthesis
needs. Most primers are available within 48 hours.

10. Which vector primers do Sequegen provide?
A: Sequegen keeps an extensive catalog of vector primers, which are
available for free. Click here to view a list of vector primers, or

11. How will I receive my results ?
A: We generally send results via eMail. If requested, we will also ship
(via US mail, or FedEx) the 4-color prints of the chromatograms, as well
as the sequencing results in either PC or MAC file format. You may
specify your preferred format in the Comments box, when
submitting your requests.

12. How much primer do I need to send?
A: Sequegen requires at least 15 picomoles of primer per extension, at
a concentration of at least 3 µM, be provided in TE. Excess primer will
not be returned unless specifically requested.

13. How much template do I need to send?
A: 3 KB vector or greater in size 0.5ug/reaction, per prodcts use 1.5 KB
or less 0.05ug/Reaction

14. How should I send my samples?
A: We recommend that templates and primers be sent via our pre
addressed mailing pouch. Make sure that all tubes are sturdy, labeled
clearly and are parafilmed closed. Please indicate need for pre
addressed postage paid mailing pouches.

15. What is Sequegen's turnaround time for processing sequencing requests?
A: Although not guaranteed, samples are typically sequenced with data
available in less than 24 hours. Samples received by 1:00 PM Eastern
Standard time are frequently completed the following day.

16. What are your hours?
A: Sequegen's normal business hours are 8AM to 5PM Eastern Standard
Time. Local clients who wish to drop off their samples, may do so
Mondays thru Fridays from 8AM to 5PM Eastern Standard Time.

17. Can you receive packages on Saturdays?
A: Sequegen will receive packages on Saturdays only when the client has
made special arrangements ahead of time.
