Sequegen was founded by James Carnazza in 1992 with a simple mission. To establish a contract services company that will accelerate the drug discovery process by providing timely and accurate processing of DNA samples vital to the success of Biopharmaceutical companies.

Initially established on the campus of the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and in 1998 relocated to its present location at 500 West Boylston Street, Worcester, Massachusetts.
